Sikh Pilgrimage Pilgrimage Tour
Sikhism, the most youthful of the world religions, is scarcely 500 years of age. Its author, Guru Nanak, was conceived in 1469. Master Nanak spread a straightforward message of "Ek Ong Kar": we are each of the one, made by the One Creator of all Creation. This was when India was being destroyed by ranks, sectarianism, religious groups, and enthusiasm. He lined up with no religion, and regarded all religions. He communicated the truth that there is one God and numerous ways, and the Name of God is Truth, "Sat Nam".
Master Nanak's adherents were Sikhs (searchers of truth). He instructed them to bow just before God, and to interface themselves to the Guru, the Light of Truth, who lives consistently in direct cognizance of God, encountering no partition. Through words and model, the Guru shows to adherents how to encounter God inside themselves, bringing them from obscurity into light. Master Nanak was an unassuming conveyor of this Light of Truth. He contradicted superstition, treachery, and affectation and motivated searchers by singing perfect melodies which contacted the hearts of the most unfeeling audience members. These tunes were recorded, and framed the beginnings of the Sikhs' holy works, later to turn into the "Siri Guru Granth Sahib".
